Who would you be if you had not seen your image until you became an adult? Once you had gotten married? Once you had started your family? Would you be a different person? I have had the privilege of showing women all over the world their image for the first time. It’s part of my work as CEO of The Blessing Basket Project. I designed technology enabling artisans around the world to communicate directly with their buyers.  My Artisan&You technology involves taking a picture of the artisan, reading them letters from their buyers, and enabling them to share their journey out of poverty. I designed it because I believe human connection leads to peace. What I didn’t see coming was the impact the photo taking process would have on the women. They were already so self-aware, so sure of themselves, that seeing their image only confirmed what they already believed. In the video that follows, can you identify the women who are seeing their image for the first time?
